Julie Chen Moonves is the host of Big Brother's 22nd season that premiered on CBS August 5, 2018. Chen Moonves served as moderator, and was one of the early hosts of The Talk. She won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work. In the year she began writing that her real passion was revealed. Also, she won an Emmy award for her outstanding hosting of a talk show. She was co-hosting CBS News weekday morning show The Early Show between 2002 and 2010. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor, and also the anchor for news for The Early Show. She was sent to Cairo in the aftermath of 9/11, and she conducted an intimate and fascinating interview with the father of the primary hijacker. Chen Moonves is a journalist who has worked alongside newsmakers like the former New York City City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. Her first broadcasting job was as a desk assistant to ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline along with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalism heroes. Chen Moonves, who won Columbia du-Pont for the primetime Anatomy of a Riot special that explored the 1992 Los Angeles riots, worked alongside Koppel.
